WWE: A Reunion Before the Summer Party Begins

WWE

When we talk about World Wrestling Entertainment, the first thing that strikes in our minds is ‘The Attitude Era’. This is not because we are not fond of the current WWE scenario, but the first golden brick in setting the ‘best for the business’ trend was initiated successfully in the 90s. With that remembrance to be intact forever, the World Wrestling Entertainment has lately organized the RAW Reunion with all legendary superstars of the past.

Taking a break from its normal episodic shows, WWE has brought the wrestling legends in attendance, that includes the likes of Hulkster Hulk Hogan, Texas Rattle Snake stone cold Steve Austin, Dx, The Nature Boy Ric Flair and none other than sixteen-time World Champion John Cena.

With such a huge star power attendance under one roof for RAW Reunion special episode, it has turned out as a RAW’s biggest audience of the year, with 3.09 million viewers. The previous high of 2.92 million came on the Raw after the WrestleMania.

The list of WWE Superstars that appeared at the RAW Reunion show makes for a good read and generated a lot of excitement around the returning stars. Many haven’t been seen on WWE television in years, hence, it was great to witness the stars on camera once again. This week’s special “Monday Night Raw” featured the return of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, as well as D-Generation X’s Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg, and X-Pac.

Other Superstars who joined the party include “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Diesel, Razor Ramon, Alicia Fox, Alundra Blayze, Booker T, Eric Bischoff, Candice Michelle, Christian, D-Von Dudley, Eve Torres, Gerald Brisco, Sgt. Slaughter, The Godfather, Jillian Hall, “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Jonathan Coachman, Kaitlyn, Kelly Kelly, Lilian Garcia, Mark Henry, Melina, Pat Patterson, Rikishi, Ron Simmons, Santino Marella, The Boogeyman, and The Hurricane.

Wait for minute guys, the biggest reunion party might be over, but the biggest part of the summer for WWE is yet to come. The SummerSlam match card has already started taking shape with some big names all set to lock horns. The newly- crowned WWE Universal Champion Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar will be defending his title against the architect Seth Rollins after he won the 10-man battle royal match the very next night on Raw after being defeated by the Beast.

Later on Smackdown this week, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston chose The Viper Randy Orton his opponent for SummerSlam. It would be great to see Orton holding the title for the 14th-time after 2 years when he defeated Bray Wyatt for the WWE championship match at Wrestlemania.

WWE has been working quite strong on divas division since the beginning of Women’s Royal Rumble. WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will defend her title against Natalya while Bayley will go one-on-one against Ember Moon for Smackdown’s women title at Summerslam.

With the recent return of Bray Wyatt on WWE, he attacked Finn Balor on smackdown. Balor presented the challenge. Wyatt, from the “Firefly Funhouse,” accepted, and the match is on for Summerslam.

Few other Summerslam card predictions are running in the pipeline, but yet to be announced. Sometimes, big things happen for a change and if what happened at Smackdown between HBK and Dolph Ziggler will push MR. Wrestlemania for a match against Ziggler will be ‘best for the business’.

So, here is a thing WWE Universe; what you gonna do brother, when WWE’s biggest parties of the Summer rides on you.
