WTC Final 2023: Comparison of fielding and catching abilities

The wait for the World Test Championship is nearly over as the two strong cricket sides of the world have started the practice of the mega tournament that will take place on the 7th of June this year in London’s Oval.

Australia and India are two of the best fielding teams in the world, and the World Test Championship Final in London is sure to be a test of their skills. Australia has a number of excellent fielders, including Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and David Warner. Smith is a brilliant slip fielder, while Labuschagne and Warner are both excellent in the covers. Australia also has a number of athletic fielders, such as Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, who are capable of running down balls and taking catches in the deep.

India also has a number of excellent fielders, including Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli is a brilliant all-round fielder, while Pujara is excellent in the slip whereas the star fielder Jadeja is brilliant at any position of the ground. India also has a number of athletic fielders, such as Mohammad Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin, who are capable of running down balls and taking catches in the deep.

Both teams are world-class and super strong in all departments be it batting, bowling or fielding. The real test of their skills will be measured in the WTC final. Their overall performances will determine the winner of the mega championship final.

India had dominated in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. India marked their name on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a margin of 2-1. The series consisted of 4 matches, out of which one went for the draw. The Australian team has been able to secure victory in just one match whereas India thrashed them in 2 matches and won the trophy.

The warm contest between the two giants will be full of entertainment as the strong sides of world cricket will be taking on one another.
