The fourth Test between India and Australia in Gujarat finished in a thrilling tie, with the former winning the series by 2-1 to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the third time in a row.

In retrospect, Todd Murphy and Nathan Lyon each took 6 wickets.

India was anticipated to do marvels with the ball on the last day, but they were unable to capitalize since the wicket was perfect for batting.

The other factor, which tilted India’s chances in the last match, was New Zealand beating Sri Lanka in the first Test match and Williamson’s sublime Hundred enabled Black Caps to topple the Island nation.

India will be looking to command their position this time around when they face Australia in WTC final as the conditions would be equally balanced for both teams.
