Women’s Singles Wimbledon Final is on Saturday and the fight for the title is between USA’s Serena Williams and the Romanian Simona Halep.

Serena beat unseeded Barbora Strycova in one hour by 6-1, 6-2 in her semi-final clash, while Simona Halep came out on top in her semi-final against Elina Svitolina, beating the Ukrainian by 6-1, 6-3.

Serena Williams is currently on 23 Single’s Grand Slam titles and if she does manage to get the better of Halep, she would equal the legendary Margaret Court’s Grand Slam Singles titles record.

Serena Williams is 7-times Wimbledon champion. She has 6 Singles titles and 1 Mixed Doubles title. Last time, she won the Wimbledon title was back in 2016. It’s her 11th Wimbledon Final and she has lost just 4 of those so far.

Simona Halep, on the other hand, is playing her first Wimbledon Final. She has been doing phenomenally well on a grass court and seems to be relishing it. She even admitted to having fallen in love with the grass.

Serena Williams is in mixed form this year. In here last 10 matches, she has lost just 2 games. Both her losses came on the Clay Court. She lost in Round-32 in French Open this year and was also defeated in Rome Masters in Round-32 by her sister Venus Williams.

Serena Williams is in mixed form this year. Her opponent was an underfed player in the semi-final and she easily won that game. Her experience on Grass is remarkable and she is also looking for the record 24th Grand Slam Tournament but it’s not so easy for her.

In recent time, for the first time, Serena Williams is not the favorite in Wimbledon. Simona Halep has form going for her and would be looking to win it for the first time.
