He is in the news in last 12 hours where “Why Virat Kohli Please don’t Retire?” is trending on social media after Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test Cricket.
Dwelling further into details, sources close to BCCI have stated Kohli has expressed current management that he is done with Test cricket and doesn’t want to play any further in red ball cricket.
Team Management is shocked by hearing Kohli’s decision and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar has stated Kohli to reconsider his decision and India would need his services especially after Rohit Sharma retirement and India needs his services in the longest format of the game.
Indian team is also undergoing transition, as they will have new captain most probably Shubhman Gill is the front runner to lead India as Bumrah being our prime bowler, workload management is extremely important.
