West Indies limited over skipper Kieron Pollard entered in the elite club of players who have clinched six sixes in an over in T20 format.
In achieving this new feat he has become the second player to do that in shortest version of the game after Yuvraj Singh.
The Caribbean all rounder smashed six sixes in an over delivered by Sri Lankan off spinner Akila Dananjaya in a recently concluded 1st T2O International game against the island nation at Antigua.
Thanks to Pollard swashbuckling innings and combined effort from bunch of other players which includes Evin Lewis and Jason Holder the home side achieved the target in just 13 overs inspite of brilliant hatrick bowling performance from Dananjaya.
Obed McCoy displayed impressive bowling performance from the home side where he picked 2 wickets and gave away 25 runs.
However he also became the second West Indies batsman to hit six sixes in an over after Sir Garfield Sobers in any format of the game.
Also it was a mixed day for Dananjaya as he got hit for six sixes but at the same took three important wickets back to back including the priceless wicket of Chris Gayle.
West Indies brought back universe boss in their lineup as a part of the preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup which is scheduled in India for the month of October 2021.
