India’s wait for a world championship came to an end on Thursday after they suffered a painful five-run loss to Australia in the semifinal of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Harmanpreet Kaur was unjustly kicked out of the semifinal game against Australia at a crucial moment. Despite being sick, India’s captain performed superbly to reach fifty-six and put her team in a position to chase down Australia’s 172/4. She managed to reach the centre.
Kaur’s bat stopped in the wicket as she attempted to run it in and she was run out for 52, but a strange occurrence caused her to return to the dugout.
