Watch : Marcus Rashford achieve this Career Milestone against Leicester City at English Premier League
Manchester United defeated Leicester City 3-0 at Old Trafford, giving Marcus Rashford his most prolific season to date and moving Erik ten Hag’s team to within three points of second place in the Premier League.
After a solid start from Leicester, Rashford gave the hosts the lead against the flow of play in the first half. He then doubled their advantage after a VAR intervention to overturn an offside. Rashford has now outscored his previous tally of 22 goals with 24.

After replacing Alejandro Garnacho at halftime, substitute Jadon Sancho added United’s third goal as Ten Hag’s team fully capitalized on second-placed Manchester City’s Saturday draw at Nottingham Forest. Leicester slightly crumbled in the second half.
Leicester exposed holes in United’s defence early on with Tete causing the hosts all manner of problems down the right-hand side. It could have been a different result had De Gea not produced two spectacular saves to deny Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho, equalling Peter Schmeichel’s record of 180 clean sheets for the club.
Marcus Rashford has scored 23 goals in all competitions so far this season. This is now his best ever scoring season.
