Glenn Maxwell, a versatile player for Australia and the RCB, and his spouse Vini Raman are expecting their first child. The happy pair revealed the news on Instagram. Vini admitted that her path to motherhood wasn’t an easy one and that she and Maxwell will soon be parents to a rainbow baby, so they have first-hand knowledge of the suffering and sorrow associated with infertility.

Given that the Hindu custom is of Indian origin, the couple wed in March 2022 according to both Christian and Hindu traditions. One must be wondering what is this Rainbow baby all about? Basically, a Rainbow baby is when a child comes back to life after suffering a miscarriage, stillbirth or a natural death.

Unbelievable, isn’t it? Just imagine how lucky Glenn Maxwell and his wife Vini Raman are. Several years ago, David Warner and his wife Candice Warner suffered a miscarriage but their baby never came back again. In her own words, Vini Raman wrote on Instagram –

“Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023. It’s so important for us to acknowledge this journey has not been the smoothest or easiest. I know first hand how painful it can be to see posts like these wondering if and when your time will be. We send our love and strength to other couples who are struggling with fertility or loss.”

Below the caption, Vini Raman also informed people about what a Rainbow baby by stating – For those that aren’t aware a rainbow baby is a baby born after miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, stillbirth or neonatal death. It symbolises the rainbow that happens after a storm ❤️”. 

It’s been 24 hours since Maxwell and Vini broke out the news and they have received plenty of love from the fans in the comment section. Virat Kohli’s Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma also congratulated the Australian duo with a heart emoji.
