Tim Paine should be removed as Australian skipper after the ongoing series against India reveals Gavaskar

Who would have thought that the recently concluded Sydney Test match between host and visitors will end in a draw. As  Australia was clearly ahead of stepping on to the field on the last day. To be honest it was daunting task for India to save this test match especially after their ace all rounder Ravindra Jadeja who has  been ruled out the remaining matches of the series.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar criticised Paine for his worst captaincy and dropping catches at regular intervals added that the latter should focus on his game rather than arguing with opposition players in detail. As Paine dropped three crucial catches of Rishabh Pant and Hanuma Vihari and if those catches were taken the result might have been landed in Australia’s favour.

India has given a tough time to Australia in the ongoing Test series with the match currently poised at 1-1 and the final match of the series will be played in Brisbane. While Australia has a great track record at Gabba as they have not lost a single test match they have played on this venue. India will carry forward the confidence of pulling off a sensational draw from the jaws of defeat at Sydney.

However it was not easy for visitors as they are playing the ongoing Test series in absence of their regular Test players which includes Kohli, Shami, Kl Rahul and Umesh Yadav. But still putting up top notch performance against Australia is worth appreciating for visitors.
