It was for the first time that any Indian female cricket team has won an International silverware of any sort. And the U-19 WC glory is a very bright prospect for the future and it was a victory for the grassoots as well. The senior Indian Women’s team now has the opportunity to replicate the same at the South African soil in 2 weeks.

Total of 3 players have made it to the XI and it is the highest by any team. Batting All-rounder Shweta Sehrawat, Captain Shafali Verma and bowling All-rounder Parshavi Chopra are 3 Indian U-19’s included in this list.

All 3 of these players had a crucial role behind India’s WC triumph. Shweta Sehrawat has come out as the most exciting player to watch out for as the 18-year-old finished the tournament as the highest run scorer with 297 runs. Shafali Verma could have hoped for a better batting display but she will be happy to have the World cup after all.
So much talent 👏
