When India went on tour to Pakistan, the series was extremely close, with India, led by Sourav Ganguly, winning both the Test and ODI series.
Different stakeholders from both countries should receive credit for cancelling the series between these two.

During his 2005 term as president of Pakistan, Pervez Mushraf, who just passed away from a protracted illness, was informed that skipper Ganguly had violated security by going to the closest location to taste some kebabs and regional specialties.
