Due to strained relations on the diplomatic front between India and Pakistan, as well as security and economic concerns in Pakistan, these two traditional rivals have not faced off in bilateral series since 2013.

It is even more memorable whenever these two powerhouses compete against one another in ICC and ACC events.

When India went on tour to Pakistan, the series was extremely close, with India, led by Sourav Ganguly, winning both the Test and ODI series.

Different stakeholders from both countries should receive credit for cancelling the series between these two.

The support India received from Men in Green fans during the 2005 Indo-Pak series is still regarded as one of the greatest moments in cricket history.

During his 2005 term as president of Pakistan, Pervez Mushraf, who just passed away from a protracted illness, was informed that skipper Ganguly had violated security by going to the closest location to taste some kebabs and regional specialties.

“You are our guest, but please don’t leave without telling us the next time since your security is our first priority” said Mushraff while talking to Dhoni.

Mushraff statement on Dhoni over the same series went viral on social media where he suggested star wicketkeeper batsman to not take haircut.

It is stated in different media outlets, India wouldn’t travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 in retrospect a statement came from PCB officials warning the former that they will also not field their team in upcoming 50 Over World Cup 2023.
