KKR skipper, Dinesh Karthik has called Pat Cummins as the best bowler in the world and is pleased to have him in the KKR side in the 2020 IPL. Pat Cummins is currently ranked number one in Test cricket and has been in excellent form in the last couple of years.

IPL 2020 Auction saw Cummins becoming the most expensive player in the history of IPL. After an intense bidding between several franchises, Cummins was eventually sold to KKR for 15.5 crores. He will ply his trade for KKR in the upcoming IPL.

We wanted somebody who is probably world-class and there is no one better than Pat Cummins in the world right now, he is the best bowler in the world, it is an absolute privilege to have him on board,” Dinesh Karthik said in a video posted on the official website of IPL.

Skipper Dinesh Karthik believes that Cummins’s addition would prove to be valuable to the side and his experience would be useful to the younger bowlers.

The little conversations I have had with him shows that he is a gem of a guy and this matters a lot to me. He will come into the team and impart knowledge to the younger guys and this will hold everyone in good stead,” he added.

Kolkata Knight Riders has a solid squad going into the IPL 2020. They bought two world-class players in Eoin Morgan and Pat Cummins, who will further bolster the squad. As far as the side’s overall combination is concerned, the team has a fine mix of youth and experience. Without a doubt, KKR is one of the teams to watch out for in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League.

IPL 2020 is scheduled to start from 19th September 2020, while the final of the tournament will be played on 10th November 2020.
