Indian cricketer KL Rahul recently revealed his favorite batting position as he has batted at different numbers for India but he loves to bat in the opening spot.
He has every reason to like that position as he averages 50.5 when he open the innings in limited overs format as compare to batting in middle order where he has a batting average of 47.65.
Similarly in T20 format he scored 1022 runs out of 1461 runs while opening the batting for India.
He said that when you open the batting you get full 20 overs to bat which will eventually help you to create the dominance against the opposition bowlers.
“Opening the batting is something that I have done all my life and that is something I feel most comfortable doing. It gives me the chance to play full 20 overs and I make the best impact when I play full 20 overs,” Rahul said in a video released by the Indian Premier League on their website.
He will be leading Kings XI Punjab this year. The Franchise will be expecting the solid performance from their skipper in order to clinch the first IPL trophy. His best performance came in 2018 edition of IPL where he scored 659 runs at an average of 54.91.
“It’s been fun so far, I had two good seasons with Kings XI Punjab and will try to win a lot more games for my team,” said Rahul.
