Karun Nair recovers from coronavirus, set to join Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab batsman Karun Nair has finally covered from coronavirus and he has been cleared to join the side ahead of the IPL 2020 in UAE. 

Nair will be joining the team for the training camp before the team’s departure to Dubai. However, he will still have to undergo a mandatory three tests and before travelling with the entire team. The team management has laid out the plan to travel together after everyone assembles at one place. 

Nair will board a charter flight from Bangalore that will then pick other players and staff management from Delhi on August 20 before departing to the UAE.  

The 28-year-old batsman has only played 14 matches for Kings XI Punjab and scored 306 runs with a strike rate of 134.80. 

Now that Nair has recovered from the virus, only one person associated with the Indian Premier League is infected with the virus i.e., Rajasthan Royals’ fielding coach Dishant Yagnik. 

He tested positive of the coronavirus as he also informed everyone on Twitter. Rajasthan Royals also asked everyone who came in contact with Dishant in the last 10 days shall remain in quarantine.

The rules in UAE has been very strict as the players entering the bio-security bubble shall carry their medical report of coronavirus negative test of the previous 96 hours.
