Also as per the latest report from DDCA, five groundsmen has been tested positive for COVID-19. The question arises whether these cases will halt IPL 2021 from here on and in response to this a statement came from BCCI official has confirmed that the ongoing season of cash-rich league will go as usual only the today’s match between RCB and KKR has been rescheduled to another date now.

The problem with scheduling these matches to a later date lies with the fact that the match that these two teams i.e RCB and KKR was supposed to play their last match in Ahmedabad.

After the Ahmedabad leg, the next round of matches will be played in Kolkata and Bangalore. RCB will play all their matches in Kolkata while KKR will travel to Bangalore.

As KKR will be playing their last match at Ahmedabad at 8th May 2021 so it becomes important for the tournament organizers to schedule the match between these two sides should be organized before this date.

One of the senior journalists confirmed the news on their official Twitter handle confirmed that IPL 2021 will go as usual and if players are tested on regular basis then there is no need to isolate players.
