IPL 2021: Skoda backs out from CSK front jersey deal will be replaced by Myntra

IPL most decorated franchise Chennai Super Kings under the leadership of Dhoni has achieved huge achievements in the cash rich league till date.

As Skoda has backed out from the fronty jersey deal with yellow army and if reports are to believed Myntra will be replacing them.  It all started when Muthoot long term jersey partner for CSK decided not to renew their contract men in yellow.

Also Skoda, the renowned Czech car company, has backed out from the sponsorship deal with the three-time IPL champions.

Earlier, it was reported that Skoda was signing a deal worth INR 25 crores as a title sponsor for the upcoming tournament. However, the car company decided not to go ahead with the deal.

However as per the latest media reports, the deal between Myntra and CSK will be around 22 and 23 crores and CSK recently have failed to attract various sponsors due to slump in their form especially in last season. As per the industry insiders, things are starting to take change.

“IPL is all about performance. When CSK was performing, Dhoni was on top of the world – brands were lining up CSK’s doors. With performance getting patchy by the day and Dhoni in retirement mode – it will be a little tough for CSK this year,” one of the top industry experts dealing in IPL team sponsorships was quoted as saying in InsideSport.
