Indian Test team is likely to undergoes few changes in future:Reports

Kohli

BCCI is certainly not happy with the dismal performance of India in the ongoing T20 World Cup and we came across a few changes in India’s T2o International squad under the leadership of new white ball skipper Rohit Sharma and new players like Rituraj Gaikwad, Venkatesh Iyer, and Avesh Khan has been added in the squad and after the completion of three-match T2o International series, it will be followed by two-match Test series where Kohli will be rested for the first match and Ajinkya Rahane is likely to lead the side.

There is another report which is circulating on social media, management is not happy with the dismal batting performance of Pujara and Rahane in the last few years and they are looking at their replacement and someone like Shubhmann Gill can be groomed to bat in the middle order. If different reports are to be believed, Kohli is likely to quit his ODI captaincy soon and will lead India in red-ball format and will continue as player in white-ball format.

Talking about India’s performance in the longest format of the game has been exceptional when it comes to winning series in Australia and giving tough time to England in their own backyard but when it comes to ICC tournaments, they have lost the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship final against Black Caps where the latter defeated India by eight wickets on the reserve day.

Virat Kohli would be eager to change his track record of not winning ICC tournaments under his leadership and he would want to change that in 2023 where the second edition of the World Test Championship will be played and considering India’s current form they are one of the favorites to play final.
