Indian speedster T Natarajan doubtful ahead of T20 series

Indian fast bowler T Natarajan might miss the first T20 International game against England on March 12th, 2021 at Narendra Modi cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.

The speedster who recently hogged all the limelight when he made his debut for all three formats for India against Australia and impressed selectors and fans with his brilliant performance on that tour.

He received a reward for his outstanding bowling as he was picked in Men In Blue squad for the upcoming T20 International series against England.  The speedster is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). As per reports, the NCA has told the management about the pacer’s unavailability at least until March 12.

However, the duration of his unavailability and the nature of his injury are yet to be confirmed as per the latest report from ESPN Cricinfo. However, still, the confirmation about his unavailability is yet to be revealed by BCCI.

However, Natarajan was elated when he received an opportunity to make his debut for India on the recently concluded Australian tour where initially he was selected as a net bowler and later was drafted in the national team in place of Varun Chakravarthy who couldn’t join the squad due to injury.

“I am very happy. This is my first trip to Australia. Delighted that I performed well against a good side. I can’t express my feelings in words, I am extremely happy with my performance. I didn’t expect a lot from this series. I initially came in as a net bowler,” Natarajan was quoted as saying.

“After an injury (to Varun Chakravarthy), I got an opportunity and I wanted to utilise it well. I was in good form in the IPL that came in handy. Also, everyone motivated me very well here. They gave me a lot of support and that gave me the confidence to do well,” he added.
