India women’s team squad for Bangladesh tour 2023
The Women in Blue are all set to play their first international series after the conclusion of the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) earlier this year, in March. The Indian team will be touring Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series, followed by a three-match ODI series that is going to be a part of the ICC Women’s ODI championship.
The tour will include three T20Is starting at 1:30 p.m. IST and three ODIs starting at 9:00 a.m. IST, all to be played at the Sher E. Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh. The full schedule for the tour is mentioned below.

| 2nd T20I | 11th July, 2023 | Tuesday | Mirpur |

The selectors and team management announced the team’s squad for both series yesterday on the official BCCI handles. Harmanpreet Kaur has been announced as the captain for both series, whereas Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy.
There have been some shocking revelations in both squads as some of the main players, such as Renuka Singh Thakur, Richa Ghosh, and Shikha Pandey, have been left out of the squad.
Renuka has been India’s premier pace bowler for the past year, and her being left out is really strange. Richa Ghosh was also in very good form in the World Cup as well as the WPL, and there is no clarity as to why she has been left out.
We also thought players like Shreyanka Patil and Kanika Ahuja, who impressed a lot in the WPL and the Women’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023, would get a chance, but we don’t know what the selectors have in mind. The squads for both series are as follows:
T20I Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana, Anjali Sarvani, Bareddy Anusha, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Uma Chetry, Harleen Deol, Rashi Kanojia, Amanjot Kaur, Minnu Mani, Jemimah Rodrigues, S Meghana, Meghna Singh, Monica Patel, Shafali Varma, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Devika Vaidya
ODI Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana, Anjali Sarvani, Bareddy Anusha, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Uma Chetry, Harleen Deol, Rashi Kanojia, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Meghna Singh, Monica Patel, Shafali Varma, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Devika Vaidya, Priya Punia, Sneh Rana
