West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle is known for his tremendous batting skills on the field, but he is also known for his way of living the luxurious life off the field. The ring has a trademark Gayle celebration inscribed on one side while his highest individual score- 333 vs Sri Lanka in 2011- written on the flip side.

Meanwhile, Gayle has taken a long break from cricket and hasn’t played an international match for the West Indies since the 3rd One-day International against India back in August. He was also set to retire after the 2019 World Cup before he changed his decision at the last moment.

Despite not playing cricket at the moment, Gayle insisted that he wants to play till the age of 45 and as long as his body gives him the strength.

“A lot of people still want (to) see Chris Gayle out there in the middle. I still have that love for the game and that passion for the game as well. And I would love to carry on as long as possible. Even in franchise cricket I am still playing a few games here and there around the globe because I still feel I have a lot to offer. The body is feeling good and I sure I am getting younger as days go on.”

“Forty-five is a good number. Yeah, we can target 45. Let’s target 45, that’s a good number,” Gayle said.

The thunderous opening batsman is the only player to score 10,000+ runs in Twenty20 cricket. He has been dominating the franchise cricket and playing all over the world since the last 8-10 years. He has gained popularity most in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL).
