Here we list down the top 5 bowlers who have achieved the 5 wicket haul with some great bowling figures.

2) Hayden Walsh Jr

Hayden Walsh Jr

Hayden Walsh Jr is a right-handed leg-break bowler. He came into the Caribbean Premier League limelight when he scalped 5 wickets for just 19 runs in 4 overs and caused havoc amongst the Trinbago Knight Riders’. However, their batting reply to the Tridents’ were 192-5 off 20 overs. Walsh Jr, who represents the US National Cricket Team, was the main guy for the sending back the men of danger Denesh Ramdin, Darren M. Bravo, skipper Kieron Pollard, and New Zealand international cricketer James D.S. Neesham prior to finishing his five-wicket haul with the wicket of Sri Lankan Seekkuge Prasanna.

His 5-wicket haul is the second-best bowling figures in CPL history and his second on our list of top 5 bowlers for most 5 wicket hauls. Earlier, Walsh had taken a brilliant catch at backward point only to send back the in-form and phenomenal Lendl M.P. Simmons off the bowling of Harry F. Gurney. Later, Trinbago Knight Riders were wrapped up for just 129 off 17.4 overs to hand the Tridents a 63-run victory. It was Walsh Jr’s debut game for the Barbados Tridents in the 2019 Caribbean League as the team was fully packed with many of the great cricketers until Nepalese leg-break bowler Sandeep Lamichhane bid adieu for a national call.

3) Ra Reifer

5 Wicket Hauls in CPL

Raymon Reifer is at number 3 in our top 5 most 5 wicket haul list. Barbados Tridents kicked off the 2018 Caribbean Premier League as they sealed a 30-run win against the Guyana Amazon Warriors. While Shai Hope played amazingly and mounted 88 runs for himself which led the Tridents to put up a decent score of 185, later it was Raymon Reifer who made sure that the target is put to use and destroying the in-form batting lineup of the Warriors was a key point which made him achieve a five-wicket haul.

Though the Warriors were off to an outstanding beginning of their chase, their first man surrendered within the fifth over while the score read as 40/1. Later, Reifer waved goodbye to both Luke Ronchi and Shimron Hetmyer in an overpassing the pressure baton to the Warriors again. After a couple of over halts, the left-arm pacer made a comeback in the 19th over only to send back any remaining chances that the Warriors hoped for by taking 3 more wickets and sealed a victorious start for the Tridents.

4). FH Edwards

Fidel Henderson Edwards is a West Indian cricketer, who has played all formats of cricket. A fast bowler, his round-arm action is often coined as “not unlike” that of former fast bowler Jeff Thomson. Edwards was spotted in the nets by Brian Lara and it was that moment that got himself a call up for his Test debut against Sri Lanka after just one match for Barbados.

After his Test debut, there was no turning back. He had made sure he made numbers wherever and whichever leagues and tournaments he played for. He was the leading wicket-taker in the Global T20 Canada tournament for the Winnipeg Hawks, with eleven dismissals in six matches. His CPL career is a rocking one too, where he scripted a five-wicket haul. His bowling stats include 22 matches, with 24 wickets and 8.01 economy while spending 606 runs. His best is 5 of 22 runs which makes him in our list of Top 5 bowlers to achieve the 5 wicket haul target.

Shakib Al Hasan

Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan made plenty of heads including the Trinidad Red Steel when he displayed a stunning spell of left-arm bowling which was a stage for a four-wicket win for Barbados Tridents in their Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Twenty20 match at Kensington Oval. Shakib scalped six wickets for six runs, in a four-over spell that misbalanced the rivals at its worst.

This may be by far one of the best spells in the CPL history and as far as his overall CPL bowling numbers is concerned, it is an impressive one. Out of 30 matches, he played he grabbed 29 wickets with an economy rate of 6.75 and 3 maiden overs, which makes him in our list of top 5 bowlers to take most 5 wicket hauls.
