Former India Coach Ravi Shastri recently spoke with Star Sports on a wide range of subjects related to the upcoming India-Australia Test series, which will begin on February 9, 2023, in Nagpur. Ravi Shastri has returned to his prior roles as Expert and Commentator.

Speaking further he added that “Kohli’s average against Australia is close to 50 which itself is a big number”.
In 20 Test matches, Kohli amassed a staggering 1682 runs at an average of 48.06 and successfully hit seven hundreds.
Kohli is recognised as one of the greatest cricket players of all time, having scored 74 international hundreds and maintaining an undefeated record across all formats.

The type of surface that Indian conditions provide is beneficial for spinners, Indian players are skilled at countering spin, and a proven stalwart like Kohli is anticipated to excel on a turning track.
He might have problems with the extra swing in the opening few balls if the track is thought to be favorable for fast bowlers, but once he offsets that, he transforms into an unstoppable force that can make life difficult for bowlers.
