Big Breaking: Sports Minister warns all Federation Head to end Nepotism and Work for Athletes Welfare
Sports Ministry Mansukh Mandaviya, stated all National Sports Federation to end Nepotism debate not fight for power and position and power and move towards court for smaller issue instead focus on talking steps to work towards athlete welfare so that players life can be improved.
He stated policies should be established by distinct sports federation to install policies which should be focused towards athletic centric approach rather than batting internal stuff which is dampening the sprit of Indian Sporting ecosystem.
Several Sports Federation belonging to distinct disciplines including the likes of- Boxing, Equestrian, Gymanstics, handball and Kabaddi are facing severe administrative issues where the power lies with which administrator is hard to comprehend.
He clearly stated “Bhai-Bhatijawaad(Nepotism) in Federations”.
“I don’t Like to Interfere in NSF Functioning, It doesn’t mean they will always allowed to deviate from the athletic- centric approach. I have told Federations to end their internal politcs. You have to support athletes as they are suffering when there is factionalism”
The Minister speech came at Indira Gandhi Stadium, for the launch of Digilocker facilty for athletes “NSF will get all support from the ministry . But Nepotism won’t be allowed ” he said .
However Government is all set to bring National Sports Governance policy to end all politics existing in distinct federations and bring transparency and accountability in their functioning.
The have also included thought process of several fans who can join as stakeholders to give their opinion on how to improve these dirty politics and athletes welfare should be taken into consideration.
Digilocker Certificate concept have been introduced now, where athletes who falls under National Sports Federations, to digitise certificates and essential documents of players to be kept there for next one year as the facility will help athletes where they can share all documents and certificates which can be used for verification purpose.
