Indian National Football Team might be going in doldrums based on how they are performing in AFC Asia Cup Qualifier but distinct federation efforts to strengthen Football in the country is still going strong.

Based on latest development, HSBC announced their partnership with Argentina National Football Federation to Promote Football in India and South Africa.

As per latest statement released by HSBC stated that “ Argentina National Football Team along with Legendary Lionel Messi will be visiting India to play an exhibition match in October in God’s Own Country (Kerala)”

“The Argentina Football Federation and HSBC together signed  a One Year Partnership to promote football in India and Singapore and these matches will be held in 2025 season ahead of 2026 World Cup Qualification Matches”

It’s Not First Visit for Messi in India, He came in 2011 where he played a game in Salt Lake Stadium where Argentina played against Venezuela by 1-0.

Argentina have already qualified for Football World Cup 2026, where they initially played Goalless Draw between Uruguay and Bolivia, in the last match they played against Brazil in absence of Messi they still found a way to beat them by 4-1 at Estadio Mas Monumental.
