Atletico Madrid Sign Teenager Joao Felix: Spanish giants Atletico Madrid splash the cash as they sign 19-year-old Portuguese forward Joao Felix from Benfica in a seven-year deal. The forward was on medical with the Madrid based club and passed his medical on 3rd July, 2019 before putting pen to paper.
The club have been really excited by the talent and with a long term contract in place, are hopeful of Felix’s abilities to take the club where they want to be in the years to come.

Atletico Madrid Sign Teenager Joao Felix: João Félix progressed to the Benfica senior team last season and had a remarkable first season. He scored 20 goals and assisted 11 times in the 43 games he featured in. He went on to become one of Benfica’s mainstays and helped the side win the Portuguese league.
The forward has also featured in the Champions League and the Europa League, where he made a name for himself, scoring a hattrick in the first leg of the quarter-finals against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Felix also got a senior international team call-up and became a part of Portugal’s UEFA Nations League winning squad. He made his senior international debut in the game against Switzerland.
Joao Felix will add versatility to the squad with the forward having an ability to score and create goals. With a possible exit of Antoine Griezmann on the cards, Felix seems to be a long term replacement for the Frenchman who has contributed immensely to the club’s success and has been among the best players in the World in recent times.
Though there are no doubts on the quality of Felix, there is a huge uproar among the fan bases on the price paid for a teenager and how this might ruin the upcoming days of the transfer window.
