LSG pacer Shivam Mavi

Big blow to LSG, this pacer ruled out of IPL 2024

The Lucknow Super Giants so far have been playing pretty well in the ongoing IPL of 2024. The team has played three games already which ended in two wins and one loss. On the other hand, the LSG team suffered a major setback in the middle of the season. Shivam Mavi, the team’s primary fast bowler is ruled out for the tournament.

Young fast bowler Mavi is out of this season due to an injury. The player was injured in IPL 2024 and he did not get a single chance to play. Due to this, he is now separated from his team. This is the player who LSG purchased in the mini auction for a whopping sum of Rs 6.4 crores. His departure, however, in the middle of the season, is essentially bad news for Lucknow.

Shivam Mavi has been away from cricket for several months

Shivam Mavi, for quite some time, has been suffering from injury. Mavi also suffered an injury during the Asian Games 2023 before and was forced to stand out for it. Then he could no longer play because of the back injury. Shivam came back into IPL to play after recovering from the injury, but again he got another injury. Shivam has not been involved in any cricket game since August 2023.

Mavi was new in the Lucknow team and had just joined them this year. At the moment, he is struck with an injury, and thus, has decided to waive his team. Shivam Mavi’s IPL career is really an interesting topic to talk about. He has played 32 matches till now. During this phase he achieved the impressive 30 wickets in his records. Shivam Mavi was bought by Gujarat Titans in an auction for Rs 6 crore last year. In the earlier seasons he played for Kolkata Knight Riders team. Mavi has also played in the Indian squad.
