Women's Wrestling in huge turmoil amid Harassment allegations on WFI President

Indian Wrestling is under huge pressure and all over the news after many active wrestlers began protesting at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The repression is coming against Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bushan Singh, who has been accused of harassing women wrestlers.

The protest is being led by, Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Sarita Mor, Sangeeta Phogat, Satyawart Malik, Jitender Kinha and Sumit Malik are among the 30 Wrestlers present at the Protest at Jantar Mantar. Their main agenda is to get Brij Bushan Singh out of office because of his behavior with Female wrestlers.

The reported Allegations are too severe to listen. Vinesh Phogat who is leading the pact, said that the WFI president and his acquaintances (officials or coaches) have sexually harassed countless wrestlers during the National camp. He also disclosed that foreign coaches are unwilling to come to India for the WFI’s behavioral issues.

She also spoke about the treatment she had to deal with after the Tokyo Olympics, stating that the WFI mentally tortured her and pushed her to the point of committing suicide.

Meanwhile, Bajrang Punia has demanded for Brij Bushan Singh’s resignation at the earliest as only then will they stop the protest and also threatened to not participate in any forthcoming competition.

Last but not the least, the Olympic Bronze medalist admitted to have received death threats from WFI to stay shut about their antics on Women wrestlers. What are your take on it? Is it all made up or is it all True?
