Bushfire Cricket Bash, a star-studded charity match to raise funds for Australian bushfire victims, will be held on Sunday (February 9) at Melbourne’s Junction Oval. Several legendary cricketers from all over the world will play the game. Some of them are Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Brian Lara, Yuvraj Singh, Wasim Akram, and Sachin Tendulkar. Ponting and Gilchrist will be leading the two teams and it will be a 10-over side game.

Why was the match rescheduled?
Initially, the match was to be played as a curtain-raiser to the BBL final but since rainfall has been predicted over the weekend in Sydney, Cricket Australia decided to go with just one game on the 8th and the charity game got shifted to the 9th to Melbourne. Whatever fund will be raised from the game will directly go to the victims of the worst bushfire in history. Shane Warne will be missing the game due to prior commitments.
The match will start at 9:45 AM (IST).
