Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hailed Liverpool FC for winning the Premier League championship and also showered praises on their phenomenal season.

Arteta also cast a light on how Jurgen Klopp’s leadership have had a tremendous effect on the side, leading to massive success in the Champions League last season followed by the Premier League title this year.

“What they have done is phenomenal. Obviously the first two years it took them some time to rebuild the squad and to create a new culture, a new philosophy and a game model that suited the coach,” Arteta was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.

Arteta also heaped praises on the trio Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho, calling them as one of the most pivotal players for the Reds. The Arsenal boss also believes that some smart transfers have helped Liverpool become successful in recent years.

“Then they started to recruit every single player in relation to what they needed and that’s where I think they were really smart. They bought with specificity for every position that was required. Financially they had a big backing and made some big signings which completely changed the club in my opinion,” Arteta concluded.

Arsenal is due to host Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday and the Gunners boss also asserted that his men have their own way of making situations in their favour.

Meanwhile, Klopp’s men are looking to surpass 100 points in the remaining matches but Arsenal would be relentless against the current champions tomorrow. Arsenal is currently 9th in the Premier League with 50 points while Liverpool is at the top with 93 points in the Premier League.
