We are tough team to beat in English conditions but I am expecting a very tight battle from India: Alaister Cook

England legendary batsman Alaister Cook have already started mind games ahead of five match test series between India and England in latter conditions.

He added that English team is tough to beat in their home condition but he expects a tough battle from India too.

Currently India and New Zealand are playing World Test Championship final in Southampton which has been widely impacted by rain and bad light. Considering the current situation New Zealand have slight edge over India and even experts are predicting results in favour of either New Zealand or it will result in a draw.

India will start their campaign against England on August 4th and the last time India toured England in 2018 where skipper Virat Kohli plundered 593 runs with the bat but India lost that series by 1-4.

Cook who is the second most capped player for the national side after James Anderson in the longest format of the game stated that beating England in their home condition will not be easy challenge for the visitors.

The last series that India won against England in United Kingdom came in 2007 under the leadership of Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan played a prominent role in exploiting the swing condition and making the ball do the taking which resulted in India’s favour.

After WTC final, India will have sufficient 40 days to acclimatize with the conditions
