Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has revealed from where the pandemic coronavirus has come and also why it has been increasing day by day. He lashed out at China’s eating habits for the novel coronavirus outbreak and also blamed that the Chinese had put the whole world at risk as well.

“I don’t understand – if God has made halal animals, why are you eating haram. When God has given you so much livestock, why can’t you eat that? Why do you have to eat bats, cats and dogs, drink their urine, their blood, and spread the virus in the entire world? I don’t understand, I’m really angry,” Shoaib Akhtar was quoted as saying to Dawn.com.

He shared that he was very angry for this and he also expressed his disappointment as this COVID 19 has not only been affecting people’s lives but also affecting the sports industry which included Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) as well. So far, 80 positive cases have been reported in India only and in the outbreak of coronavirus, if the IPL will take place, it can be dangerous for everyone.

On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has taken a decision and pushed back the start date of the IPL on April 15 as a precautionary measure due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. Earlier it was decided to begin from March 29. On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided that amid the breakout of the COVID-19, the rest of the PSL games will take place behind closed doors and their decision came on March 13.

Shoaib Akhtar further said that these pushed back sports events can be resulted in huge loss and along with this, the economy and the tourism industry has been affected by havoc as well. However, he also urged everyone to follow the precautionary measures and asked not to share any jokes on this dangerous coronavirus which has already taken more than 5K lives all over the world.
