Scott Kuggeleijn born on 3rd January 1992 is a New Zealand International Cricketer. He is right-handed batsman whereas a right-arm fast- medium bowler. Other than playing cricket, he is an avid golfer too. He now plays for Northern Districts. He has played two One-Day international matches, 1 T20 international and 66 First – Class cricket. Kuggeleijn went on trial for rape in 2016 and again in 2017 but was not convicted. His highest first – class of 142* was against Central Stags.

Early Life

Kuggeleijn was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. He is the son of Chris Mary Kuggeleijn who also played for Northern Districts. He made his first-class debut for Wellington Firebirds in 2011-12.

Domestic Career

Scott Kuggeleijn played for Wellington team from 2011-13 whereas for Northern Districts from 2013 to present time. In the Ford Trophy 2016-17, Kuggeleijn took a maximum number of wickets in the tournament, having seventeen dismissals in nine matches. He signed a contract with Northern Districts in June 2018 for the 2018-19 season. He has played 66 matches in first class which is an official classification of highest – standard international or domestic cricket matches.

International Carrer

Kuggeleijn was included in New Zealand’s One Day International squad in April 2017 for the Ireland Tri-Nation Series 2017. He made his ODI debut on 14th May 2017 against Ireland. He scored 11 runs in the match and for his first ODI wicket, he dismissed William Porterfield. He played his last One – Day International on 21st May 2017 against Ireland.  Recently on January 2019, he was named in the T20 International of New Zealand’s squad for the match against Sri Lanka. This match held on 11th January 2019 was his T20 International debut. He scored a total of 35 runs in the match against Sri Lanka and took one wicket.
