RR vs CSK Match Prediction

RR vs CSK Match Prediction: The game between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians have been done and dusted as the focus now shifts to a heavyweight taking on minnows on Thursday. Having lost four out of five matches, another tough challenge awaits for Rajasthan Royals as they will square up Chennai Super Kings in their sixth match of the tournament.

The last time when these two teams met, Dhoni and Co. ended on a winning note and it will be interesting to see if RR could take the revenge of the defeat.

Chennai Super Kings

CSK Squad

RR vs CSK Match Prediction:  CSK have had a phenomenal season so far and are currently at the top of the table with 5 wins out of six matches. Dhoni and Co. in their last match had outclassed KKR in a low-scoring affair, restricting them to just 108 in twenty overs.

Given the mainstays of their bowling department haven’t been in the side, CSK’s bowling unit still looks as sublime as ever.

Opening bowler Deepak Chahar has been impeccable with the ball in the power play overs and with Bravo not being in the side, the Indian seamers have also taken the responsibility on himself to bowl at the death as well.

CSK have also found an able bowler in the form of Scott Kuggelejin who has been doing quite well for the team as well.

Spinners with the likes of Harbhajan Singh and Imran Tahir have been amongst the wickets in whatever matches they have played.

With the coming of Faf Du Plessis, CSK’s batting also look well settled. Though batsmen with the likes of Watson, Raina, Ambati haven’t been able to showcase their class in the tournament so far, however, with so many match-winners in the side, one or other have stepped up on the occasion and took their team home.

Rajasthan Royals

RR Squad

RR vs CSK Match Prediction:  Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, haven’t been able to play like Royals. Unlike previous years, Skipper Ajinkya Rahane haven’t been amongst runs, Steven Smith failed to make a Warner-like comeback. In addition to that, all-rounder such as Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer have had a moderate season, having not been able to contribute as much the franchise would have hoped them to.

However, the last time these two teams met, both the all-rounders played impressive cameos only to lose the match by just eight runs in the end. Wicket-keeper Jos Buttler has also been in the form of his life for a couple of years now. And, with Smith scoring his first half-century in the last match against KKR, Rajasthan Royals will perhaps go into the contest with full of confidence and might cause an upset on Thursday.

Head To Head

CSK vs RR

RR vs CSK Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings are way ahead of Rajasthan Royals when it comes to head-to-head contest between the two sides. As many as 21 matches have been played between both the sides, of which 13 matches have been won by CSK, while Rajasthan Royals managed to win on eight occasions.
