Recent Adjustments on League of Legends PBE Focus on Fixing Bugs and Unusual Interactions for Briar

The new champion in League of Legends, called Briar, has a lot of problems and bugs since she was introduced on the test server (PBE) this week. The players have been telling Riot Games about all the weird things happening when she interacts with the game’s existing features. A League of Legends developer named August Browning said on Twitter today that they are going to make some changes and fixes to Briar. This will hopefully solve the issues and bugs that players have noticed on the test server.

The first improvement they’re making is to help Briar heal better when she’s low on health by using items like potions. She’s unique in the game because she doesn’t naturally heal over time, and her abilities make her lose health when she uses them. So, fixing this issue is really important. Also, they’re making her ability called “Blood Frenzy” work better by making it focus on bigger jungle monsters first when she’s farming camps like Raptors and Krugs. This will make it easier for her to clear those camps.

One of the most significant changes coming to Briar in these PBE updates relates to how her ultimate ability, Certain Death, deals with crowd control effects. When she uses her ultimate, it fires a long-range missile at an enemy champion, and then she dashes to that champion. While the missile is supposed to free her from crowd control effects, it was unintentionally working against Mordekaiser’s ultimate, Realm of Death. This issue was discovered recently, and the League of Legends developers have acted swiftly to address it.

Briar is currently planned to be added to the live League servers with Patch 13.18, scheduled for release on Wednesday, September 13. However, if more problems related to her numerous bugs and potentially overpowered abilities continue to surface, her release date might be postponed until the development team can find a better balance for her.
