PSG manager Thomas Tuchel tried to pull off a tactical masterclass on Tuesday as he changed his side to a three man defence in Dortmund. As much as PSG lost on Tuesday, the level of opposition was incredibly high so they should be backing themselves to get back on track here. Paris will play host to this game and with the Parc des Princes serving them so well so far this campaign, Neymar and Co. should have confidence oozing out of them.

They’ve won 14 of their 16 home games this season with their one defeat in September the only blemish on this near perfect record. In their last few games specifically they have been incredible in the final third with 27 goals scored in their last six home matches. However, PSG have conceded a rather disappointing seven goals in this time so the away side could be in with an outside chance here if they can take advantage of this shaky defence.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux enter this clash with PSG on a run of five games unbeaten but three of these have been draws so there is improvement needed in Paolo Sousa’s team. Les Girondins have managed to bounce back from their awful spell over December and January but they are still lacking that clinical touch to win games. Their game last week was another example of this as Bordeaux had the majority of the chances but failed to capitalise, allowing Mounir Chouiar to net twice for Dijon.

Both their recent wins came with the advantage of an opponent’s red card so even though they picked up points in these games, we still have reservations about this Bordeaux side. They have improved in attack but still struggle at the back with four goals conceded in their last three games. However, les Girondins are unbeaten in their last three away games with two wins and a draw so they enter this match with a semblance of optimism.

We feel that Bordeaux are in with a chance here and could get on the scoresheet as the hosts have been shaky at the back recently. Les Girondins have netted five goals in their last three matches and we’re backing them to pose Paris a few issues here. However, PSG are in fantastic form and will be raring to right their wrongs from Tuesday night with a big win here. At home they have been incredible so we’re backing them to win this match 3-1.
