Following yet another injury against Uruguay a day ago, Neymar Jr is once again all set to face a substantial time off pitch. The 31-year-old has remained injury prone throughout his career and has mostly sustained Ankle or Foot injuries.

However, this time around Neymar ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Meniscus on Left knee which was found out through clinical and imaging reports. This is a first for Neymar as he never had any Knee injury but the problem is that he only returned after an Ankle injury in February.

The Latest setback will not just hurt him or his friends and family but it will actually be a blunder for organizers and sponsors in India who were preparing to welcome the Brazilian sensation at the DY Patil Stadium for Asian Champions League group tie against Mumbai City FC.

It was actually slated to get underway at the Balewadi Stadium, Pune but in order to accomodate more fans, Mumbai City FC moved the tie to DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. Al-Hilal will regardless visit India with a few more big names other than Neymar.

Last season’s Europa League Goalkeeper Yassine Bono, Midfielders Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic Savic, Centre back Kalidou Koulibaly and Striker Alexander Mitrovic will be a part of Al-Hilal on November 6.

But fan favourite Neymar will not be there. The most influential face will in Al-Hilal will at least be out for 3-4 months and could miss more than 10-15 games. His recent time line with injuries have been extremely cruel. The 31-year-old has missed 103 games due to injury since 2018.
