Nathan Lyon Surpasses Shane Warne To Achieve This Massive Record In Asia

The Indian batting order struggled in the first innings of the third test in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, as they were all out for 109 runs after being caught by the Australian spinners.

He currently holds the record of most wicket taking bowler on Asian grounds (129), surpassing his own compatriot and former Australian cricketer Shane Warne’s record of 127 wickets. Apart from him Daniel Vettori (98) of New Zealand, Dale Steyn (92) of South Africa and James Anderson (82) of England follows this list.

Lyon has also become the number one bowler in terms of dismissing Pujara most no. of times (12).

Lyon has already claimed a total of 10 wickets in the current four-match series and will try to grab more. In Tests against Team India in his entire career, Lyon has taken 105 wickets in 45 innings of 25 matches at an economy rate of 3.10. Whereas, Of all the countries Nathan Lyon has bowled against in Tests so far, he has got the most wickets against India.
