In the forthcoming Test series, Hosts India would likely have the advantage if the tracks are slow turners, but Australia will triumph on “fair” surfaces, according to former wicketkeeper Ian Healy. Healy stated on “SENQ Breakfast” that if they generate fair Indian wickets that are decent batting wickets to begin with and (that) likely spin and spin reasonably consistently but spin a long way, late in the match, “we (Australia) win.”
He added “Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon in the first Test are my top concerns. India plays those circumstances better than us, in my opinion, if the wickets are unjust like the ones I saw in the most recent series, where balls were leaping outrageously and falling down low from the first delivery.”

Due to the hosts’ practise matches on green tops and genuine games on spinning tracks, Australia has chosen not to play a single tour game in India throughout the month-long Test series.
Healy counselled the Australian players who lacked experience to embrace the pressure and avoid making any mistakes in the field.
“I want the players to be extremely conscious if they are utilising the golf simulator in their room to hide from the pressure (from the locals)… I believe you need to take another action” He said.
The upcoming four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy series between the two teams will begin on February 9 in Nagpur.
