Mustafizur Rahman posts cryptic tweet before leaving for Pakistan

Bangladesh cricket team is finally heading to Pakistan to start the first leg of their series against the Men In Green and they are ready to beat them in their own backyard. Playing in Pakistan has not been easy for the teams, especially after what happened to the Sri Lankan team in 2009.

The Sri Lankan side was fired upon by 12 gunmen near Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in which six policemen and two civilians were killed. Right-arm off-spinner Thilan Samaraweera was injured during the attack after which every country refused to play in Pakistan. For more than 10 years, there was no international cricket played in the region. Last year. Sri Lanka visited Pakistan again to played a two-match Test series against Pakistan and started a new era in Pakistan cricket.Bangladesh-team

Following the footsteps of the Islanders, Bangladesh is also going to play a T20 International series in Lahore and will be hoping to get some really good security till the time they are in that region. But before leaving for Pakistan, a cryptic tweet from Mustafizur Rahman is creating a lot of stir on social media.

Rahman, who is a part of the squad leaving for the series, tweeted a photo from the airport saying that he is traveling to Pakistan and then asked his followers to remember the whole team in their prayers.

Alongside the picture, he wrote, “Heading to Pakistan. Remember us in your prayers #PAKvBAN.”

It should be noted that some of the players and members of supporting staff are not going for the tour. Mushfiqur Rahim is one of the players who are not with the team right now.
