IPL 2023 : This is how Mumbai Indians celebrated Arjun Tendulkar’s wicket last night against Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar taking up the sport of cricket professionally was inevitable. But most of us might have expected him to take lead of his father and become a Batsman but opposite to everyone’s hopes, Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm Pacer.

Last night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Hyderabad, Arjun bowled a very important and deciding 20th over of the 2nd innings with SRH needing 20 runs to win. The 23-year-old’s temperament heaped a lot of praise from critics as well as the fans.

His main motive was to bowl wide yorkers and his implementation as well as execution was spot on barring a wide ball. Tendulkar’s very first ball brought a wicket as Abdul Samad failed to complete a double with Hrithik Shokeen causing a run-out.

Then in the 5th ball, Captain Rohit Sharma caught Bhuvaneshwar Kumar in the covers and pointed towards Arjun Tendulkar as Mumbai Indians enjoyed a 14-run victory to go 6th in the points table.

“My plan was to just bowl wide and get the batsmen hitting into the longer side. I was itching to bowl, yes. I love bowling and am happy to bowl any time. Me and Dad talk a lot about cricket. We talk tactics and plans. I just focused on my release and the lengths I want to bowl. If it swings, it is a bonus; if it doesn’t, so be it.” – Arjun Tendulkar said after the match.

Meanwhile, MI’s Cameron Green was announced the man of the match for his outstanding All-roundย  performance. The Australian International was key behind Mumbai reaching the eventual total of 192. With the Bat, Green amassed 64 off 40 and picked a wicket by giving away 29 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
