IND VS AUS 1st ODI : Men in Blue secured a thrilling win against Australia; But there is still Suspense on selection of Players

Men in blue crushed Australia in the first one-day international of the series in Wankhede on Thursday. With the win in the first ODI, India would want to end the ODI series the same as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Team India performed admirably in the one-day international in Mumbai, and as a result, India overcame Australia in the first match.

Amid the ODI series, Team India has received some unpleasant news. Due to injury, a player may be unable to participate in the ODI series. Due to an injury in the first ODI, this player was unable to participate. This has increased Team India’s tensions.

Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the One-Day International series owing to injury. In such a case, there is now a player who does not appear to get a chance in the team’s final two matches. Sanju Samson was supposed to be in the squad for the ODI series in lieu of Shreyas Iyer, however, he was unable to do so owing to injury. It is unclear whether he will play in the last two matches.

Rishabh Pant‘s sad vehicle accident has sidelined him for a prolonged length of time, but it has also created an opening in India’s middle order in one-day internationals. When Pant’s extended absence from international cricket due to a car accident in December was established, Rahul and Samson emerged as prospective middle-order replacements.

However, Rahul was made to sit out off the ground considering his long failure in international events. Although he is expected to keep wickets for India in the World Test Championship, it will be confirmed witnessing his IPL performance. As far as Sanju Samson is concerned, his performances in IPL were capable of impressing selectors’ eyes. However, he was still not named as the replacement for the injured Shreyas Iyer who was ruled out of the one-day series.
