How will RCB look without AB De Villiers as player and Kohli as captain?

Royal Challengers Bangalore is certainly one of the most promising franchises in every season of IPL but they fell short at the last minute and with AB De Villiers retiring from all forms of cricket and Kohli leaving Captaincy from next season onwards it will be ideally impossible to look beyond these two players who fans relate with Bangalore based franchise.

Virat will continue as an RCB player, not as a leader but AB will not be donning RCB jersey from now onwards is hard to imagine. Let us ponder a few permutations and combinations on how will RCB look without AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli as leaders in detail.

  1. A new leader will join the franchise next year and most probably it can be David Warner as considering his recent form at IPL 2021 it will be hard to imagine that he will be retained by the SRH franchise and someone like him can lead RCB very well in years to come.
  2. When you imagine RCB as franchise two names that come into your mind is Kohli and De Villiers and with later not being a part of the setup anymore is a big blank which some other player had to fill in seasons to come.
  3. A dream which De Villiers and Kohli saw together to lift the IPL trophy might be possible that can turn into reality as T20 is an unpredictable format but there will be no de Villiers standing beside Kohli to lift that title.
  4. De Villiers was a crowd-puller when he is on the song it is very hard to stop him as he can clear any distance easily with his ability to hit shots in all possible directions.
  5. However, De Villiers said that he would like to be associated with the franchise in any role, and if he joins as a mentor from next season onwards it will benefit young and emerging players to a great extent.
