Hockey India League Player Auction: Harmanpreet and Hardik breaches ₹70 Lakhs

The Hockey India League (HIL) player auction kicked off with a flurry of excitement as India’s star players Harmanpreet Singh and Hardik Singh were the most sought-after by various franchises.

Harmanpreet and Hardik Lead the Bidding:

Harmanpreet Singh, the captain of the Indian hockey team, was signed up by the JSW Sports-owned Soorma Hockey Club for a whopping Rs 78 lakh. His deputy, Hardik Singh, went to UP Rudras for Rs 70 lakh. The duo’s popularity and exceptional skills made them the top targets for the franchises.

Auction Details:

The HIL player auction will unfold over three days. The men’s auction will take place on October 13th and 14th, followed by the women’s auction on October 15th. Each franchise will build a 24-player squad, comprising 16 Indian players (including four junior players) and 8 foreign players.
