Harmanpreet Singh Early Life:
Harmanpreet Singh was born on the outskirts of Amritsar as a young child he helped his father in farming and he has confessed in different interviews in the past due to his ability to work with father in farming has contributed immensely in the game of Hockey on numerous occasion.
He enrolled in Surjit Singh Hockey Academy at the age of 15 years old to learn the nuances of the game to become Forward.
He received huge support from his father who never stopped later to pursue his dreams and eventually Harmanpreet followed his passion and became an Hockey Player.

Harmanpreet Singh Professional Life:
Harmanpreet Singh’s performance came notice for the first time in Junior Hockey Tournament where he gave his best shot as defender and drag-flicker. He subsequently moved to Junior Indian team with his consistent performance and fitness level.
He played for India for the first time in the year 2014 in Sultan Johar Cup in Malayasia where he presented stupendous performances against teams like Australia, England, and Malaysia which India won and the former and Harmanpreet was adjudged the player of the tournament.
After delivering consecutive performance he was picked by Dabang Mumbai squad for $51000 in Hockey India League and he also scored 5 goals in the first edition with Mumbai Dabangs which prompted Dabang to retain him ahead of next edition.
His outstanding show at numerous circuit during 2015 earned a spot for him in the national side for Tokyo Olympics 2016 but his performance was not upto the mark in the marquee event and overall performance of India was below par in that event.

Harmanpreet Singh has been selected to represent India in the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2022 as vice captain of the side and he will be expected to deliver in the marquee event as he is an experience campaigner and knows the art of getting into the skin of opposition with his brilliant defensive plays.
