UEFA Champions League 2022/23 has reached the last 16 stages and Leg 1 of each of the 8 matches have been completed. Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, SL Benfica, Napoli and Inter Milan have come out victorious in their respective 1st Legs but there is still a lot to play for in the returning legs.

Surprisingly, each of the 4 English participants (Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur) have lost their matches. From Liverpool’s perspective, they will need a miracle to turn around a 5-2 aggregate at Santiago Bernabeau.

Manchester City will welcome RB Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium with the score line locked at 1-1. Chelsea and Spurs will host Dortmund & AC Milan as both the English sides will aim to turn around a 1-0 lead by the traveling teams.

It is set by Real Madrid’s Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr. after scoring twice against Liverpool at Anfield earlier this week. The 22-year-old has now become the youngest footballer in UCL history to score in each and every stage of the elite European club competition.
