India vs Pakistan match is always most awaited. That is the reason there is so much excitement for the current Emerging Asia Cup 2023 Final. However the current match between India A and Pakistan A is going on, it is important for the batters of the Indian team to maintain a good partnership, at a good run rate. The reason behind the success of the Pakistan A team in the first inning of the Emerging Asia Cup is certainly the 121 runs-opening partnership.

The excellent start was given by Sam Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan 

The openers of the Pakistan A team knew that there is a big responsibility on them to give a good start to the team. That is the reason, they spent some time at the crease.

  • The first ball of the match bowled by Harshit Rana was a wide ball. Looks like it was a good omen for the Pakistan A team. Soon, after a couple of deliveries, one more wide ball was bowled. 
  • The opener Saim Ayub was able to understand that the bowler is feeling the pressure. He made the most of the opportunity, and on the next ball he got a six, then a four and on the last ball a single. At the end of the first over, the score was 13 runs. 
  • After the first over Pakistan had shown that they were there with a commitment. 
  • The score was 30 after 3 overs, at a run rate of 10 per over. 
  • The Pakistani openers showed maturity. They knew they needed to slow down in order to survive for long. 
  • By the end of the 8th over the score was 49-0. That run rate dropped from 10 to 6 per over. 
  • The opening partnership survived till 121 runs in 17.1 overs. On the 2nd ball of the 17th over, Saim Ayub was caught. 

Later on, the Pakistan A team went on to score well. The target that will be set for India A is certainly going to be a big one. It is going to be interesting to see the approach of the Indian team to win the match.
