“Biggest Fraud of WPL 2023” RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana face online abuse after losing 4 matches in a row

Are you aware of the greatest and worst aspects of any sport?

If you do well you are praised widely and one minor error and you are vulnerable to public criticism, particularly in the age of social media.

This latest episode unfolded, when RCB captain Smriti Mandhana received online hatred after losing 4 straight WPL 2023 games.

Mandhana has had a poor batting performance in the main event, and her team has yet to register a victory.

Because of the heavy price on her shoulders, she needs to play huge innings so that her side may score a lot of runs against opponents and go on to win matches.

Mandhana and Company, who batted brilliantly in the first few overs but failed to build on that momentum in subsequent overs, have had the most difficulty converting strong starts into high totals.

Even Mandhana expressed her concerns in the post-game conference, saying they needed to find a quick fix because this is a short tournament and they had lost their way in the previous four games after a solid start.

“We are trying to get a balanced team that can win us a game. I have tried to speak to almost all the players, pep them up and I have to keep doing it. Last week has been tough. Lots to reflect and lots to work on. A lot of people have reached out to me and as an international cricketer, we have faced these situations before. I have my family around me always but I always believe that you have to sit by yourself and rectify your mistakes,” said Mandhana while talking to NDTV.

Her captaincy has been the biggest question mark, whether it is allotting overs to Perry or not sending Knight at proper batting positions it seems that she is confused when it comes to applying tactics in the game.

The management might be thinking, they should have gone to Knight for captaincy, who is leading her national side for last few years as Mandhana looks blank in crucial junctures of the game.

They will be next locking horns against Delhi Capitals where things will not be easy for them, as the latter has been in sublime form throughout the tournament.

Beating Capitals considering the current form of RCB is still a far fetch dream.
