BCCI All set to Pull out from Upcoming Asia Cup Post India-Pakistan War; Reports
As things have turn ugly diplomatically between India and Pakistan, it all started with latter who were involved in Killing 22 innocent Indian Civilians who went to Pahalgam Kashmir on 22nd April 2025 to spend vaccation.
They would have not imagined in the wildest of their dreams they would get Killed by terrorist on the basis of religion.
This incident brought shame to Pakistan and Indian Government launched Operation Sindhoor ( as Terriorist targeted only Male citizen in front of their spouse).
Indian armed forces completely destroyed Pakistani Airspace, Ports and areas where terrorist used to live.
The war happened between both countries, Pakistan suffered huge loss they had to bag IMF(International Monetary Fund) to give them money so that they can fight this war against India.
In other words, IMF Funded war against India also Turkey and Azerbaijan supported Pakistan in this war.
This war strengthened our friendship with Russia and Israel who stand with us through thick and thin.
Indian Government also took initiative to ban all those cricket related channels in Pakistan who were spreading their hate against India.
Slowly and steadily their entertainment pages too were banned in India.
The latest to join the bandwagon is BCCI(The Board of Control for Cricket in India) the most powerful cricket board who gave stern response to ACC (Asian Cricket Council headed by Pakistan Cricket Board President Mohsin Naqvi) that Indian women’s team in Emerging Asia Cup and Men’s Asia Cup team will not play in Asia Cup.
They are pulling themselves out from the event.
More Information about this Step in Detail:
- Based on BCCI close sources, the message have been communicated to ACC President Mohsin Naqvi that India is boycotting Asia Cup due to ongoing Indo-Pak Conflict.
2. The other reason, Indian cricket board completely want to Isolate Pakistan Cricket also the other reason, being current ACC President Mohsin Naqvi who is Pakistani.
3. Many fans have stated to BCCI, Don’t Play any cricket with Pakistan be in Asia Cup of ICC Cricket events.
4. The fans suggested that in ICC events India and Pakistan could be pulled up in separate groups.
5. If BCCI doesn’t send to team to Asia Cup, if the marquee event without it will be biggest loss for sponsors, broadcasters as more than 90 percent sponsors are from India.
6. Asian Cricket Council have signed 10 year contract with Sony Sports so that could be revised considering Asia Cup which was suppose to be held in the month of September will not be held now.
7. Asian Cricket Council, needs Indian Cricket team to show up more than Indian Cricket team need ACC(Asian Cricket Council)
8. Asia Cup last edition was won by India under brilliant leadership of Rohit Sharma where Siraj bundled Sri Lanka in the final on Paltry Total.
9. The reason why Broadcasters always keep India and Pakistan in the same group when it comes to ACC and ICC events is based on the demand of fans who want to see these arch-nemesis compete against each other.
10. The stage at which they play is bigger one where there are several eyeballs popping up, also they play each other on rare occasions due to worst diplomatic relation with each other.
Overall, if you look at larger picture all these things only impact other Cricket boards who are not as rich as BCCI.
The BCCI being big brother is not only helping smaller cricket boards to flourish and grow but also enables, sponsors and stakeholders are on the same page when ICC and ACC events are organized.
We have witnessed in the past, all the news coming from BCCI sources are turning out to be true, whether it is related to speculation related to Rohit Sharma Retirement or Virat Kohli Retirement news.
All these news later turned out to be true, yet another news coming from BCCI sources will completely dismantle Pakstan and Asian Cricket to the core.
The Upcoming Asia Cup was suppose to be held in Sri Lanka in T20i format September month, it seems that it will no longer happen now.
The Asia Cup have also seen significant dip in standard of Cricket being played, something stakeholders needs to do in terms of assembling teams so that best Cricket could be displayed in the Marquee event.
If you look at team dynamics and performances- Indian Cricket is at pedestal in Asian Region followed by Afghanistan who have become second best team in Asia.
When it comes to other teams like Pakistan, Oman, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh they are certainly not at par with other Asian Teams.
Pakistan Cricket team is no longer a unit they only play to secure their spot and showcase their individual milestones instead of team they are focused on their 50s and 100s due to which we have seen them digging their own hole in last few years.
Bangladesh Cricket somehow seems to miss the trick when it comes to winning ACC events as they falter big time when t comes to Playoffs they have failed to execute their plans in the crunch phase of the game.
When it comes to teams like Oman and Hongkong they are still working hard find their space in Asian Cricket Community.
Afghanistan have showcased brilliant strides where they have defeated teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the past and their players exposure of playing in distinct Cricket leagues organized all over the world plays an equally important role in their growth especially when it comes to executing their skills in the crunch phase of the game.

When it comes to Indian Cricket team, their capability could be perfectly expressed by the statement came from Mitchell Starc in the podcast “India is the only team in modern day Cricketing ecosystem who can easily field three different teams in three distinct formats. In other words their bench strength is exemplary. I can only say that they can field three different formats at three different locations”
Starc statement sums up the contribution from BCCI ecosystem, where they have allowed players from Grassroot level to develop and grow.
Indian Cricket is on the rise, considering the bench strength if Indian team doesn’t participate in any ICC or ACC events.
It’s not BCCI loss its other way around.
