Champions Trophy 2025: BCCI Looking for Fresh Leadership post 2025 Champions Trophy Final
The Board of Control for Cricket in India is not only known for generating financial opportunities for Indian Players, Strengthening Domestic Infrastructure and Providing all facilities to Indian player but it goes beyond planning for Indian Cricket future where they make sure that transition from existing to new leader goes hand in hand.
Based on the latest development, Board is eagerly waiting for Champions Trophy Final scheduled to be played on 9th March 2025 in Dubai between India and New Zealand.
The leadership transition will be discussion as Test and ODI format as Surya Kumar Yadav have already been given responsibility to lead Men in Blue T20I format.
Rohit Sharma have been asked about his idea where he expressed that he still have few years cricket left in him and wants to continue playing for India.
He is also eager to Lead India post 2025 Champions Trophy even Virat Kohli have expressed his interest to play for India post Champions Trophy in Test and ODI format.
Keeping 2027 50 Over World Cup in mind, that might be last someone like Shreyas Iyer and Shubhman Gill is right fit to lead Men in Blue till 2027 World Cup.
Shubhman being the Vice Captain might be promoted to Captaincy role post Sharma exit from leadership duties.

The change in leadership might also seen change in Category where A+ category is allotted to those players who play all three formats.
It might be interesting to see whether Kohli, Jadeja and Rohit will still be there at A+ category.
They might go towards A Category and players like Gill, Axar and Shami might get A+ Category range.
Shreyas Iyer might find his contract back as he was dropped from the central contracts due to disciplinary issues.
Based on my Perspective, if Rohit Continues as player, Men in Blue will continue with Rohit as captain till 2027 50 Over World Cup and groom Gill till then so that once the later finds maturity in his game understanding he would be promoted to Leadership duties.
Gill might be ideal captain for Future considering he plays all three formats for India and he is certainly star for future.
